Remote Accounting Services

cloud accounting

Ok, firstly breathe, we will get through this. Recently, I requested all of our 40 plus staff to revisit our best practices protocols (we call it The CRCFO Experience) particularly as it relates to paperless and virtual back offices. By ensuring these are robust, we will not only support the social distancing protocols requested to flatten this virus, we actually are saving our clients money.

I bring this up because right now we are all in this together. We will survive this virus but we also need our businesses to survive. If I can help you allow your workforce to be more virtual so that you can keep the gears going, please let me know. I’m happy to spend a few minutes giving you free advice.

Overview of Remote Accounting Services

Cloud or remote services are a great technological advance for computer users everywhere. Instead of depending on your own computer and portable drives to house your financial information, you can access and store it online safely from any location, remote or in the office.

QuickBooks Online is an element of CRCFO’s cloud-based, remote accounting services strategy. It enables everyone to use the same software without having to worry about where employees are working, licensing rights, versions of software, etc. All the data files that are created using the software can be stored online or downloaded to your computer. Files can be securely backed up.  While we recommend QuickBooks Online for our start-up clients, CRCFO works in many online accounting environments including NetSuite suitable for larger implementations and Sage accounting software for smaller organizations.

When you utilize online accounting software, it is easier to collaborate with team members and to share it with your accountant. Simply log onto a secure computer and pull up the website address where the software is located. You will be given your own username and password to immediately access anything we have been working on.

In addition to the core QuickBooks platform, Charles River CFO utilizes a consistent set of tools and protocols in our client engagements. These tools provide for efficient, scalable, cost effective and remote solutions for today’s environment. Examples of these include:
